Congratulations to all Somaliland people on the twenty-fourth anniversary of the declaration of independence.
Somaliland communities in Europe are working hard to commemorate the day when on 18th May 1991 the Republic of Somaliland withdrew from the defunct union with Somalia after 30 years of unlawful merger between Somaliland and Somalia which led to the death of millions and displacement of millions of others and which turned the Horn of Africa into one of the most dangerous regions in the world.
SSE is proud of what the Republic of Somaliland and its people have achieved since 1991 to remedy the legacy of the defunct union, and calls on the International Community to welcome this young nation into the family of nations.
